EDP Awards 2019: 28 winners receive prestigious award
The EDP (European Digital Press Association) is the organisation in which the 21 leading European trade magazines with an editorial focus on digital print processes have united. With their publications, the EDP members reach far more than half a million readers in 27 countries (with their printed editions only). The annual highlight of the activities is the awarding of the popular EDP Awards, which are presented by the members of the EDP to the best products of the year in five main categories.
The EDP Awards are Europe’s only technology contest in the industry and an open competition for all products announced and launched in the market over the last 12 months. The award is supported by an expert commission (the EDP Technical Committee), which selects the submitted products according to criteria such as innovation, quality, performance and costs. Due to the strict criteria that the Technical Committee sets for the products, there are no votes on the internet or other public votes. It’s about technical criteria, not popularity.
This is the only way the EDP Association can guarantee that the best products are selected and that manufacturers’ achievements in the development of new technologies are rewarded. Therefore the logo of the EDP Awards stands for innovation and quality, offers orientation and gives a neutral recommendation for purchase decisions of the users.
